A Colombian steakhouse in Brookline just won Best of Boston with a $130 Tomahawk and a chef from Medellin. A three-time James Beard finalist is cooking Yucatan-inspired dishes over a live fire hearth in Dayton, Ohio, using heirloom corn imported from Oaxaca. A brain surgeon in Sterling, Virginia, opened an upscale Pakistani restaurant with a clay tandoor oven and no alcohol on the menu. And a guy in Louisville left consulting to mill his own flour and bake naturally leavened sourdough pizza in a wood-fired oven — he also roasts his own coffee. All of them earn you myDinova points on every visit.
