A little aside from my typical “tidbit” I wanted to share my enthusiasm for our incredibly diverse and delicious restaurant marketplace.  I am on the west coast and enjoyed a FANTASTIC dinner at Chaya in Venice Beach, CA.  Chaya recently brought their two Southern California locations back into the network, their San Francisco restaurant has been in for some time.  My entrée was Miso Glazed Sea Bass and it could not have been more perfectly executed.  The food is fine dining in a more relaxed atmosphere.  Chaya is also known for their top notch sushi bar.  Excited to be part of the program they generously comped my meal.

The next morning, I had a business meeting with Patina in downtown Los Angeles.  Their restaurants are diverse and run from tacos at Downtown Disney to the definition of fine dining, Patina at the Disney Concert Hall.  A true gem in the Dinova Marketplace.

My trip continued with a stop at a new addition to our wonderful line up of restaurants, Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar.  This growing group currently has 19 locations with two more slated for this year.  Lazy Dog is casual and at first glance you might thing comparable to an Applebee’s type of establishment.  With a little closer look you find that everything they make is from scratch.  A great place for on the road travelers to enjoy a casual lunch or dinner with a beer!

The last stop on my trip was a business meeting with the Whisknladle Group in La Jolla (tough duty!).  They have been in network just a couple of months but the owner is enthusiastic about the program.  Whisknladle came on board with a referral from another great restaurant group.  They have three brands and I visited their “flagship” restaurant for happy hour and dinner.  This is a hip modern restaurant serving fresh, creative dishes and amazing craft cocktails.

I return home incredibly excited about the increasing diversity in the Dinova Marketplace.  We have a lot to look forward too!
